The Adventures of "Da Hat"

On a dark and stormy night in June 2004, on the wild Eastern plains of Colorado in a sudden gust of wind and rain the treasured Raiders hat of our fellow CRRG member Albin Erickson, KC0QIT, was lost in an instant into the vast dark gloom of the wind blown prairie of Colorado. Member Erickson, was so heartbroken over his loss he required hospitalization and was unable to maintain his responsibilities as resident philosopher, and subject matter expert of the CRRG, 146.67 repeater in Denver, Colorado. He was so missed by his fellow club members, that the recovery of Al's missing hat has become the passionate goal of the CRRG membership. Not only his friends in CRRG were moved to act in the search and recovery of the "Da Hat", but concerned hams from around the nation and the world have volunteered to serve in this emergency recovery effort. You too can help in this worldwide, multi-cultural, humanitarian project. Act now! Contact Da Hat Recovery Coordinator at SaveDaHat@recovery.org to enroll in this massive search effort.  To find the last known location of  "Da Hat" click on the link below.
