"Da Hat" Recovery Project
Proudly Announces
Al's Hat Has Been Found and Returned

CRRG member, Albin Erickson's, KC0QIT Raiders hat was lost at Field Day 2004 in Elizabeth, Colorado.  Since the loss of the hat the CRRG membership have been coordinating a world wide search for the missing hat.  Since June 2004, "Da Hat" has been sighted on three continents, 10 countries, 21 states, and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  Volunteer searchers have traveled over 100,000 miles.  The elusive hat was finally recovered in Berlin, Germany by CRRG Member Scott Thompson, KB6CC, on October 25th, 2005.  Scott was in Germany on another humanitarian mission (see below); returning a pre-WWII  film to the German people.

On Monday, Nov 28, 2005 "Da Hat" was returned to its owner Al Erickson, KC0QIT at a celebration held at Rosie's Diner, in Aurora, CO.  The event was attended 16 CRRG members and guests.  Please click on the link below to see the photos of the return celebration.
